The People’s Choir of the Baccarelli Institute is required for children starting at 7 years of age at the Baccarelli Institute, and provides classes on voice technique, posture, breathing, stage expression, perception and music theory—essential for the education of any artist. The Choir focuses on the development of values for life in society by making learning fun. The activities provide an introduction to the world of music in a lighthearted way. The work on stage expression complements the teaching method, making learning fun and more engaging, and develops awareness of the body in space.
The People’s Choir is for children and adolescents from the Heliópolis community and surrounding region, and is divided into different levels: pre-Choir, Children, Youth, Intermediate and Advanced. Admission depends on the age, ability and progress of each student. In addition to the classes, the program provides, as a part of the teaching method, presentations in different environments, allowing them to improve their ability to deal with the outside public, in addition to helping their studies and expanding their repertoire. Under the educational coordination of Silmara Drezza, and a team of qualified teachers, the groups train their voices and corporal expression.
