Music Education For Children

Music education is the entryway for children who arrive at the Baccarelli Institute interested in learning music. Divided into three age groups, levels 1, 2 and 3, the activities are conducted in rooms with up to 25 students aged 4 to 6. In these classes, the idea is to build knowledge based on practical experience and exploration, before introducing concepts of music theory. The main objective is to awaken and develop a taste for music, while stimulating learning and contributing to the overall education of the child. The teachers prepare fun activities using instruments, puppets, fabrics, educational toys, songs and introduce the children to a new magical world of music—full of possibilities and joy. The activities promote the development of motor and mental skills, and stimulate the musicality, sensitivity, sound perception, rhythmic sense, spatial and temporal perception, and sociability, in addition to creativity and reasoning, also using the Dalcroze rhythm technique—a method that associates musical melody to corporal expression. After music education, the children move on to classes for voice and instruments
